Out for a hike! Christina, a girl that I'm tutoring this summer, on our way up Chief Mountain.

My brother and Kate were here last weekend. They came to visit and brought us our puppy. Our weekend was so much fun. We hit up the Cubs game, ate lunch with Autumn and Nathan during their layover at DIA, shopped at Ikea, hiked up a mountain, took turns playing the dealer in endless games of Blackjack, sampled food at the Golden Farmer's Market, and played frisbee at Clement Park.

And here starts our obsession with our new pup, Bailey. We still love her even though she likes to chew on my rugs and dig in the garden. And, we already had to spend a pretty penny at the Vet Office.  Small world, the vet was from Winner--he noticed our 605 phone numbers on our paperwork and asked us if we were from SD. And his brother is married to Kim Dockendorf who used to babysit Derreck.

(pretend that you do not see that dead plant.oops!)

This weekend we are hanging out at home. My mom and Cheryl are coming on Wednesday night. I'm so excited. We are going to the Steve Miller/Doobie Brothers Concert at Red Rocks on Sunday, heading to the Renaissance Festival, and touring some breweries. It is sure to be a fun time!

Spoiled

This week I have got a new puppy, a new job, a new couch, and a new living room floor. Can you say spoiled?

Meet Bailey. The newest member of our family.

Here is a peek inside my new classroom! I'm so excited about my new job as a Kindergarten teacher. I can wait to start making this classroom my own.

Derreck is pretty handy! He spend all day Saturday and Sunday putting in our floor. No more plywood floor in the living room!

Time Flies

Whoa...I haven't updated for three weeks. We were too busy having fun! I can't believe June is already over and the 4th is over and gone. Wowza!

Where do I begin?

First, we drove back for one of my best friend's wedding in Okoboji, IA on June 22nd. It was such a beautiful day. It was perfect and so much fun. Autumn looked beautiful, and we had friends there from NY and Virginia as well as many from SD. I'm so happy for her and Nathan and wish them a lifetime of happiness!

Check out their video here! Scroll through to find Autumn + Nathan

After the wedding, Derreck flew back to CO and I spent a week in SD. First stop was in Pierre to see Grandma and pick out a puppy. Then back to Gregory for 5 days. I spent time with my mom and friends. Then of course, it was the Annual Memorial Golf Tournament. Again, it was such a great time. The weather was perfect and my brother golfed with me! Such a great way to remember and celebrate my father's life.

Then back to Colorado I go except with two extra passengers. I brought the Juracek boys back with me for a week of fun. The whole Witt clan will be out here for a wedding this weekend and are taking the boys back with them. They got picked up this morning, which is why I finally have time to update our blog. It was a fun week, but I'm worn out. We went to the zoo, the pool, Elitch Gardens, and a Rockies Game.

Haha, and here are the bridemaids at the wedding. I had to share this because if you know Autumn, it's pretty fitting.

The newest addition to our family. Puppy Martin will be making the big move from SD to Colorado in 2 weeks! And there's my brother and I at the golf course.

Here are the boys while watching fireworks, at the Rockies game and at Red Rocks.
