Where do I begin???

It's been about three weeks since I've moved here, and I'm loving it so far! We have already done so many things. We've hiked Green Mountain and Three Sisters Park, went to a Rockies game, tried three different bars, ate at numerous different restaurants, bought fresh veggies at a farmer's market, watched a Pro Cycling event in Golden, and many other things that I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I start my new job tomorrow at Blue Heron Elementary School in Littleton, CO! I'm really looking forward to it. I am a teacher's assistant in a half-day kindergarten classroom, and then move to second grade in the afternoon. The kindergarten teacher that I'm helping is fresh out of college and this is her first year teaching, so I think it will be a great learning experience for the both of us. I was really hoping to find a lead teaching job, so I'm hoping this is just a stepping stone that lands me a job at this school next year.  Fingers crossed!

We are going to another Rockies game with one of Derreck's co-workers tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to it for a few different reasons. 1) Joe and his girlfriend are very friendly people, 2) I love the atmosphere of Coors field or any baseball game for that matter, and 3) People-watching is one of my favorite things to do.

Here are a few pictures from our adventures so far. I need to remember to take more pictures!

This is a note from the young neighbor girls next door.

This is Derreck, a parrot, and I at the Pro Cycling event in Golden, CO.

Our cheap seats at the Rockies game last week. Looking at StubHub a few hours before the game is worth it!

Derreck has to drive around a lot to take pictures of structures. I was lucky enough to ride around him one morning.

Our view from Brother's Lookout while hiking in Evergreen, CO.

I got this video from Joni and thought I would share because little Andre so adorable. I miss them!

We are heading to Hisega for Labor Day weekend, and then we are expecting our first visitors the following weekend!
